Maybe its for the better Colt sold out gun owners many years ago and recently said they would no longer sell ar-15's to civilians. They wonder why the went bankrupt?

CZ owns Dan Wesson and they turn out some great 1911s.

I like everything I’ve ever touched from CZ... can’t say that about many manufacturers anymore.

There's no doubt Colt has made some poor business decisions in the past and has largely survived on their name for many years. But their decision to sell AR rifles to civilians wasn't for political reasons. Their announcement basically stated their ability to produce rifles was pretty much taken up in military and other government contracts. That, and the number of other manufacturers producing guns in the AR marketplace made it difficult for them to be competitive.

Personally, I love their guns and I'm always saddened when another classic American company is sold off to foreign interests.

But, it's a tough world out there. And making bad decisions doesn't help one survive, or flourish, in it.

CZ USA owns Dan Wesson, Not CZ, I'm not sure how this will impact CZ USA since they are currently the exclusive importer for CZ.

I like CZ, but it's weird that another very iconic, very American company is owned by another country.
