In my experience, and in the experience of my circles, the Holosun 507c is a better optic than the RMR Type I or II, at $200-300 cheaper.

No tint, you don't have to remove/rezero to replace batteries, and the durability in my experience is better. I've never sent back a Holosun. I've sent in every one of the four RMRs I've owned.
    9mm - because they don't make a 9.1mm

Thanks for info. 507C is direction I am leaning. Good to hear about the durability.

I own a Romeo 1, a couple of RMRs - Type 2, and an SRO.

The Romeo 1 (out of production) has a nice window but they aren't very tough and they will fail in the rain.

The Type 2 RMRs are terrific, unbeatable reputation (the Type 1s had some problems, I would not buy a Type 1 and buyer beware, there are lying scumbags out there selling Type 1s as Type 2s). The problem with the RMR is the small window, RMR is easier for me to use on a Sig P226 than a Glock 17 or 19.

The SRO is nice, big window, not nearly as robust as an RMR. I have mine on a 5 inch 629, I really like it. I do wonder how long the SRO will last with 44 Magnum recoil.

I have no experience with Holosun, I haven't shopped MRDS for a couple of years though so I'm not up on the latest news. I do know that Holosun has been making steady improvements, they understand the growing market, and I wonder if Trijicon is resting on their laurels.

Trijicon is a US company so I am VERY biased towards them. Plus I own ACOGs which I love on my ARs.
