Default T36s are now machine guns apparently

Wow. I have no words. I am actually shocked the ATF would actually try to pull something as screwed up as this. I saved up a lot as a kid and nearly bought an SL8 to convert to a g36 clone when I turned 18. Really glad I didn't now.

If you're shocked by this, you haven't been paying attention to the BATFE. I'm rather surprised it didn't go worse for TommyBuilt, to be honest.

I didn?t read that far into it but I believe another company was trying to import a similar firearm and the ATF told that company no. That company then said the T36 was the same gun so the BATFE re-examined the T36 and deemed it ?easily? converted to a machine gun.

So AR-15s are next, since it would take less time and effort to bend a coat hanger... not violating site rules... or print a linky... to make them easily convertible to a machine gun...

Fvck the ATF and their lawless interpretations.

This is exactly why in another thread I told people not to buy the rare breed triggers ATF does this all the time. One day they say its ok the next they decide its not same crap they pulled with cav arms back in the day. Cav arms had the injection molds off site ATF said that was ok. Then one day they decided it wasnt ok and instead of contacting them that they had changed their mind they showed up unannounced and raided them and took everything.

Now if you want to take it to the house you can win ATF is famous for getting their ass kicked it court but I personally have better things to spend my money on than bail and attorneys.

Well just to name one off the top of my head how about putting an m16 carrier in an ar15! You know why its legal to do it now and it wasnt at one time because they busted a guy for doing it. ATF at the time "ruled" that any m16 part in an ar15 made it a machinegun. They busted the guy and in court he won because under federal law a bolt carrier in and of its self can not possibly make the gun fire more than one shot per pull of the trigger. Therefore its not a machinegun. He kicked their ass and that is why you can now use a m16 carrier in a ar15.

I could site many more cases the fact is ATF likes to make up bullshit rulings but like I said you have to be willing to take it to the house. Bump stocks same things one court case already has got thrown out and the reason they are being hush about it is because if somebody gets busted with a bumpstock and takes it full throttle ATF will lose and they know it.

It is a semi-auto, full stop. It’s not like they were selling a bump stock with binary trigger firearm and included a solvent trap with the muzzle end marked for drilling.

This was capricious as can be and signals the lawlessness of the ATF moving quickly in a direction which won’t leave anything safe.

I bet that NRA would not do jack about it.

As for this, we should first gut the NRA first. Term limit on VP and other upper management. Get rid of Honorary President position and hire a real lobbyist.

I meant what other things do you have to spend your money on.
