February 27 meeting

CBS - 60 Minutes will be filming !!!With some recent negative press, we are pleased to have 60 Minutes visit our group and see exactly what we do, and what we do not do.
Of course, we are aware that sometimes the press doesn't portray the truth. Sometimes they twist things for an agenda. Well, we can't help that. They can print whatever they want, and we want to give them the opportunity to see why we are so proud to be Oath Keepers of Yavapai County and Yavapai County Preparedness Team.

Certain interviews have already been scheduled for another time. There should be no reason for the film crew to speak with you. If they do, please politely say "No Comment" and walk away.

Since this is specifically to showcase our group, please do not make it a forum for you to unload on them about how unfair the press is or why they don't agree with your issues, or anything else. That will reflect on all of us, and make us look argumentative and ugly. THAT might be the only part they highlight, which would reinforce the "hate group and terrorists" statements out there. So, help us all out and keep those comments to yourself. Let's show them the intelligent, polite and patriotic people we are. Let's not give them ANYTHING negative.

Every meeting they have is filmed, recorded and put out on YT. I've attend a few, but there's too many people for me. Average crowd runs between 2-300. Last one i drove past, had people out directing traffic, there were that many in attendance. The neighbor said it was 464, based on door count.

I don't know about now, but in the olden days Mike Wallace had a rep for selectively editing to change context for his "gotcha" stories. They can't be trusted to tell a fair story about "the other side". Absolutely must record it yourself as Erni said.

I took away that 60 minutes will set a car on fire to scare the audience. Like when they did the Chevy tank ?testing?.
Or like they will cut in a prep scene to make it appear like the 2A folks have no answers for ?tough questions?.
But eh that?s just me.
