I don't know what any of that means. Guess I'm either old or just don't care since I don't fall for scams.

Did you click on the link or read the post? They were selling cards with lightning link components stamped out. All you'd have to do is punch out the pieces, I assume tack them together, insert into lower, and now you have a full auto gun.

So printing and selling schematic diagrams is illegal now?

My understanding is all they were doing was printing 1:1 scale diagrams on a credit card sized piece of metal.

Assuming that is the original URL of the company, I'm not too keen to click on it, to be honest.

I'm sure every buyer has a creative legal loophole that they plan on slyly introducing to their defense attorney. Kind of like "nuh uh, it'z a rebuild kit" but instead even worse, "nuh uh, it's a metal business card that happened to broke".

Every defense attorney will universally say, e.g. their wisdom is as useful as a sock full of nickels hanging from a tallywhacker and take the plea deal. +2 to don't buy stupid shit, especially stuff that the government prosecutes for. Fortunately for some, many ATF branches simply confiscate such things without prosecution, but... not always.

The ATF is out of control making up rules and interpreting laws incorrectly.

I hope they get slapped down hard for this violation of 1st Ammendment rights.

The mistake that a lot of gun owners make is thinking that the law is technical. It isn't. For practical purposes, there are no "loopholes" in any law to be honest. If the state doesn't like you, and society as a whole is the significant majority against your minority, they WILL get you.

A courtroom verdict is simply whatever the judge wants to happen + their bias + however they make you look in front of a jury.

Me, I don't think the odds are good that a judge at trial is going to say "aw shoot, ya got me on that, it's just a metal credit card ya'll" and the odds are quite high that you'll be portrayed as a sociopathic mass murderer in the making, with possession of plans to baby killing death delivering implements and the materials to manufacture it. And seeing an average jury who tends to be led hook-in-mouth to rubber stamp what a judge and prosecutor wants, the odds at trial are not good, but they never are. (almost every jury trial is a guilty conviction, the bias exists whether we admit it or not).

Of course, the chance of someone being crazy enough to go to trial in the first place and not take a plea after hiring counsel is probably unlikely. A plea deal probably wouldn't be TOO insane, maybe 2-3months in the can and a small fine. Trial though... say bye to your wife and kids.

Once again, +2 to don't buy stupid stuff. Balance risk vs reward with a reasonable perspective how justice doesn't work.

Actually you need to relieve some of the lower to have it fit, correctly.
