Alright, bumpkins. Let me tell you how some city folks roll.
Some people don?t cook or eat at home. The convenience of big city living makes grabbing food on the go or going to a restaurant quicker and easier than trying to keep food at the house. If your lifestyle is such that eating at home is not a regular occurrence and suddenly you might have to go for a couple of days without being able to get to your usual eating establishments then suddenly stockpiling groceries becomes a priority.
I can?t explain the gas thing though. Not sure why the rush is on to top off your tank in anticipation of possibly not being able to drive anywhere for a couple of days. I guess that?s the same logic as running out and buying condoms knowing full well that there is probably a zero percent chance you are going to be getting laid any time soon.
I always get a kick out of the home search tv shows, where the homeseekers admit they do not cook and a kitchen is not a priority.
As for filling the gas tank before a cold spell, I always have done that to reduce moisture in the tank.
Always recommended for boat fuel tanks, and as I recall my days in shop in the 60's, that what we learned.
Mmmm, CWD.
So I got back from my bidness trip before the weather started, but found King Soopers completely out of bananas!
I am not smart enough to edit the "title"

Yeah, for sure, filling up the tank is like disaster preparedness 101
My relatively new truck has an inverter in it which will produce AC Power if I need it, so makes sense to top it off, for more than one reason.
