I use Mint on my laptop. Had a small form factor computer with Mint running my TV. Kinda miss it. I have a Raspberry Pi with the NES, SNES, Sega, etc emulators on it. In theory, it works. I set it up and haven?t played it yet. It?s been like 4 years....

At some point I plan on replacing my Rokus with Raspberry Pis running Linux and just a web browser in kiosk mode (I kept researching all sorts of media programs like Kodi and what-not, but realized that the best thing would be just use a web browser with a custom home page set up like a media interface ... I've also got Plex running on my Synology NAS so it would be one of the links and that takes care of all my locally hosted media).

I was hoping that Brave would come out with an ARM compatible version, but I'm not convinced I need all the extra privacy stuff (just good ad blocking) since I'll just be running BitChute, Rumble, Youtube etc on it.

I just dropped in here for the nerd talk.

It keeps me humble and reminds me how truly stupid I am with technology.

    Thanks.

Skip Brave and run Firefox. All the add-ins and settings you need are here. [privacytools.io]

Firefox is evil (Mozilla is more woke than Coke and Target). I expect future versions to block its users from using sites like Bitchute and LBRY at some point.

I've heard rumors of ARM Brave coming soon but if not that I'll probably go with Vivaldi (made by the guy that started Opera).

Mozilla, FireFox, is one of the earliest browsers. That they are still here today, is a testament to their fortitude.

They are not evil, nor woke, but rather are champions of privacy (for a web browser.)

They allow you to run plugins, that will stop ads, and scripts, both very scary on the web.

You can't hardly go wrong making Mozilla FireFox, your default browser.

They fired Brendan Eich (one of the founders of Mozilla) because he supported Prop 8 in CA ... in other words, he opposed same-sex marriage at the same time that Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton did so publicly.

Did you read the link I posted above?

They are not champions of privacy (they were back when the aforementioned Brendan Eich ran the show), they are not champions of free speech they are woke, authoritarian silicon valley insiders no better than Google, Apple, Amazon or Microsoft.

I used their browser from the earliest public betas until Brave came out (Brave is 100 times more privacy and security focused than Firefox, and will use extensions and plugins as well, but most of the ad and script blocking is built in).

Mozilla is evil. And if you stick with them you'll get to find out when they start censoring your internet for your own good.
