The timeline released was that the intial 911 calls were at 2:32, the initial police response was 2:36, the time stamp on my first pic when I arrived along with the other police was 2:37. Talley would have been the initial response. My first pic was as I was pulling in to the parking lot and police were just pulling their rifles out of their trunks, as I went around the parking lot and parked would have been maybe a minute later which is when I saw them run in and back out of the east entrance.

Your video might just be evidence of the happenings, outside the building.

When I was there I saw the line of officers at the east entrance move like they were entering and then do a quick 180 and form a line back behind the door at which time the swat armored truck arrived and moved up to the west entrance, paused and then backed off. At that time I decided this was more than the usual crazy homeless guy and left the scene. While I was there an elderly man came out of the west entrance, spun around like he was confused and went back in loitered about for a minute and then came back out while a Boulder officer stood at the corner of the building with his sidearm drawn and not aiding the old man in any way.

I'm guessing Talley got there and entered just before I pulled in along with a dozen or so other cop cars based on the time stamps of my pics and the official time stamps of the 911 calls and police response.
Thanks for your account of what you saw. Did you take stills, submit them to the PD and retain the originals?

The DA notified staff at 3:02 to advise and to avoid the area. My understanding is that Talley and two other officers took gear from their vehicles and entered together. Whether they took rifles, shotguns and ballistic vests hasn't been revealed but the information is known but so far withheld. Officer Talley reportedly died of a head wound.

It's curious that Ahmad al Aliwi Alissa disarmed, stripped and walked backwards to surrender. Was this upon command by officers or was it a preplanned effort? In any case he chose to save himself after murdering ten innocent people rather than meeting his 99 virgins.

A common denominator in mass murderers is cowardice, and of course mental illness. No one commits murder of innocents without mental illness but it does not absolve them of responsibiltiy or atonement.

Would Officer Talley have survived if medical aid had arrived quickly?
I am not smart enough to edit the "title"

I don't think that would have made a difference. When I listening to the scanner, the statements indicated he was beyond assistance, and the affidavit of arrest indicates head wound.

I only have pics and they are all on the first page of this thread. The first pic is pulling up to the entrance right behind the group of a dozen or whatever many cop cars had just passed me, they are still unloading their gear. The second pic is where the cops had just run back out of the entry and were reorganizing next to the gold colored car that was outside the door. The third pic is when the first swat truck arrived just after the old man had finally exited that entrance. Not sure what any of those pics would do to help anything.

    Good post.

Your last two paragraphs remind me that the "discussion" in the media has shifted from the shooter to the tool. In the Middle East/Central Asia innocents are murdered by suicide bombers. Either way the murderers get laid.

Well, tons of articles about this guy using "illegal high capacity magazines".

They've even made sure to make it clear that people can still buy them in CO.

I expect some sort crackdown on mags soon. Ugh.
