Indeed, it is just another chain restaurant. Not all that different from McDonald?s or Burger King or whatever.

But, if I?m grabbing a burger from a fast food joint and there is a McDonald?s, a Wendy?s, a Burger King, a Hardee?s/Carl?s Jr, and a Whataburger all side by side then I pick Whataburger.

There isn?t necessarily anything special or magical about the place but the fact that for the last 20+ years I couldn?t just run down the street and pick some up kind of makes it like a special treat.

If I pick a fastfood place, I usually go by time and amount of line I have to wait on. Then I go by quality of food.

I think I've picked Arbys over Old Chicago more than 20 times while living in Thornton.

Best burger I have found in town here is AJ's Fine Foods Market outdoor BBQ. Cheap and really good. Way better than fast food for about the same money.

Chipoltle #1 was good too, but you wont see me eating there anymore. I do love nostalgia though.
Where they at? Will put it on the places to eat, when in the valley trip.

The one by us is near Westworld (1.5 miles E from Dillon ) FLW & Thompson Peak. They have an outdoor kitchen/grill for lunches daily (till 2pm), specials on the weekend. Regular burger w/sides is $8 and Kobe is $11.

    Old Guy memory
    Best cheeseburger.
My wife, teenage daughter, and I were vacationing in Hawaii.
We took a snorkeling trip to Molokini that was extended because we were seeing so much wildlife and sea creatures.
Got back to the dock later than anticipated and we were hungry.
There was a Cheeseburger in Paradise restaurant with Jimmy Buffet smiling down, so we went in.
We all agreed that they were truly cheeseburgers in paradise.
Nothing like eating when you are hungry after a day outdoors.

Then maybe a Whataburger with cheese would do him some good.
