Did you know that of the 64 counties in Colorado, only 12 passed the bill to reintroduce wolves? I bet you can guess that of the 12 counties on the western slope where the wolves would actually be reintroduced, only 2 voted to pass that bill. That means that 10 counties of people who don't live where wolves would be reintroduced by the state voted to have that happen.

I remember seeing a map of the counties that voted to introduce wolves. I wondered if maybe it was a strategy to get people out of the woods and into condos/hotel rooms.

IDK what the answer is, but it's unfortunate that so many don't play by the rules such as, #1)you pack it in you pack it out, #2) when a fire ban is in place it means NO CAMPFIRE EVEN IF NO ONE IS AROUND TO ENFORCE IT, #3) dig a hole for your crap and bury it when you're done camping. ETC

We haven't been able to camp in 'The Park" on Monument for something like 19 years now unless you walk in (I think you can still walk in) because of the d-bags that f'd it up for everyone else. 2002 was the last time were were up there, camping trip with all the boys to send one off to Iraq (he came back, twice). Idiots shooting up trees, moving barriers to tear up hills that were off limits due to wheeling and erosion, etc. Same with general shooting up there. Morons shooting when/where others are hiking and biking in the area. All they had to do was go up or off the road a bit and find a proper backstop. Now the whole damn thing is closed to shooting except one area off Rampart few venture into.

Can't blame the USFS, county, or state for that.
