    That’s nuts.
    Or nearly no nuts.

Of course a holster with a firearm without a trigger is safe.....

I don’t know.. just looking at it I have to think that any rational person would see that and think it’s a bad idea. Honestly, I can’t say that I feel any sympathy for anyone that thinks that holster is a viable solution and then has a problem with it afterwards.

The fact that the manufacturer intentionally marketed that holster with a gun that had it's trigger removed makes me think they KNEW showing it with an exposed trigger would be negative for sales. Might be problematic for them...

OUCH! I always stress this when training people - have a proper holster, don't get one with manual retention release unless you are going to training religiously with it, always carry with a round in the chamber, etc. But people being people, we are always looking for better, faster, cheaper . Be safe out there!

    Thank you!

    **WARNING - GRAPHIC STORY**

I recently had a good friend of mine, fellow veteran, who I proudly served with experience a very bad negligent discharge. I'm only going to list the basics of what happened as that is what's important. For the record, he is not a forum member.

He was carrying a popular 9mm, striker-fired subcompact handgun in a DeSantis Gunhide "Invisible Agent" holster (pictured below). The holster was sitting close to the 2 O'clock position on his right side. After being seated for some time, he stood up and proceeded to grab his belt directly over the firearm and pull his pants up slightly. Upon doing so, material from his shirt that was bunched up inside the trigger guard proceeded to engage the trigger, causing the handgun to discharge. The bullet was a 115 grain Fort Scott Munitions TUI projectile. The round entered the lower portion of his belly, travel at an angle, exiting the belly, striking the left side of the scrotum, entered the inside of the left leg and exited through the rear of the left leg. The projectile missed the femoral artery by the grace of God. For those curious, yes, his wedding tackle was left intact. He is humbly recovering at home and regrets sacrificing safety for comfort. Lesson learned the hard way.

Regardless of what or how you carry, folks...please carry a quality holster and especially one that covers the trigger guard properly. If money is an issue, please reach out to me and I will assist in any way I can. I care about you all and I pray we never have to see another story like this on here.

    Stay safe.
