To be clear, this is not a PRS-style match. Competitors may choose to shoot prone, bench, or in a Division that will combine both prone and tripod shooting. No contrived positions, barricades, and no offhand shooting.

Sorry I did not mean to confuse the COF. Of course each shooter is responsible for reading the program to understand the COF before signing up.

What would the dope be for a 421 or 547 yard target, roughly. From a 50 yard zero? Or would a 100 yard zero (84 or 164 yard specific to this match maybe) work better.

Like a 30 MOA rail, at a common height over bore, some zero distance, and a scope with what kind of travel then plus the tree reticle? Thinking a VIPER? PST™ GEN II 5-25X50 FFP EBR-7C (MRAD) Reticle.
I'll stop buying black rifles when my wife stops buying black shoes.

About 22 and 33 MILS for 385 and 500m, respectively, from a 50y zero. For most setups, dialing most of your elevation and then holding over the balance will be the solution.

Get a canted rail that has 50% of your scope's available elevation adjustment, usually 30-40 MOA for a scope with 26MILS of adjustment. A Christmas tree reticle is ideal for holdovers, but not necessary.
