well of course, after all, silencers being used all over this country in crime...NOT!!!!!! More proof that it's nothing to do with preventing crime, it's ALL to do about control.
Laws aren't "preventable" measures. IOW, more gun laws won't stop mass shootings.

Just takes SCOTUS to rule that the 2nd only applies to organized state militias and is not an individual right.

That's why you don't need a permit or tax stamp to buy them in other countries. Those countries want unsuspecting victims. Obviously.

Don't know where to get a silencer, but I do like suppressors.

Interestingly, suppressors can be purchased in New Zealand over the counter and without any registration. As I understand it, the Kiwis consider it polite and a good thing to lower the noise coming out of their hunting rifles. On the other hand, getting a semi-authomatic anything there is a whole other problem ...

They are over the counter in Norway as well. And they are a culture of campers, hunters, and shooters. It isn't just a "couple nuts" with guns, it is pervasive in their culture and considered almost a requirement in some places to have a suppressor.

I have some family in Oslo, for the record. They often go into the gun shops and caress the suppressors, like a child you adopted out, love dearly, yet can never take back home with you. I get sent pictures from time to time.
