I like to stick close to the speed limits. If the speed limit is ridiculously low for a particular road I still stick to it and piss off all of the people bottled up behind me. It?s my way of getting them to petition the city or county to raise the speed limit on that stretch of road.

My morning commutes entertain me. I make sure to leave myself time to get where I?m going and if something unexpected causes me to be late it doesn?t bother me. When I see people in a stupid hurry to get to their jobs I figure they are probably just a shitty, irresponsible employee and are scared they might get fired because they can?t get to work on time.

This. Pretty much everyone goes faster than the speed limits around here. I just keep up with traffic so I'm not an obstacle. You can usually get away with it if you're in wad of traffic moving the same speed. Just don't lead the wad or drive in a manner that gets you noticed. As you get more experience with driving, I think you learn how to not stand out in the crowd. There are places you can easily get away with it, and others that will get you a ticket at a high percentage rate.

I do not speed in residential areas and school zones. I don't want to hit some kid or their dog.

Liberals never met a slippery slope they didn't grease.

I wish technology solved people issues. It seems to just reveal them.

Pretty sure the automated speed traps need to be manned by a person in Colorado. I see them as a white van along Speer Blvd in Denver and along Moorhead Ave and North Broadway in Boulder all the time. There will be a person sitting in the van monitoring the equipment.

What you are seeing is just one of those tow behind warning systems that flashes the light to let you know that you are speeding but that's all it does.

They must be getting a lot of complaints along that stretch of road. Eventually one day if the speeding continues you will come across a real cop parked in an inconspicuous place and you will get pulled over.

I remember in my teenage years, someone revving to race at a stoplight. I obliged and we both took off. I don't know how the hell neither one of us didn't see the LEO behind us, but he got immediately lit up. In hindsight it is a bit hilarious.

I won! but in his defense, it is a bit hard to fully commit when red and blues start immediately flashing. (I of course immediately backed off too )

So just a warning, no ticket?
