Teee heee, I trying to figure out what to sell to get one of these. And then what to sell to afford ammo. This might be an old topic, but I am in love (maybe just lust) with the .50 BMG. I like the idea of a big assed round on top of my AR-15

Are you talking about putting a .50 bmg upper on an AR-15 lower? I think you can only fit .50 Beowulf.

No,, You can get a .50 BMG upper, just have to load them one at a time.. Hence, the bolt action...
ETA: Just looked at the pic,,, If you aren't focused on the twig in the upper right,, It almost looked like a commercial airliner trailing smoke.
Nice setup btw...

I think Bohica out of Florida has a 50BMG upper for an AR

Ive been wanting a .50BMG. Have you shot your upper yet? I have been debating between just getting an upper for and AR or buying a complete lower end single shot like the LAR Grizzly. Anybody have pros or cons they want to share?
Lucas and all,
Sorry if I mislead you guys. I don't actually own one.....yet. I should have titled it "I found my NEXT AR upper". I am trying to figure out what I can sell to get one, but i can't get rid of anything. heh heh
You can get a semi-auto .50 BMG upper, if they're still making them. The mag inserts in the side of the upper, though, since it won't fit in the magwell.

Bohica is not out of Florida. Serbu is based in Florida. Bohica was based in Minnesota at one time, but has relocated their operations to Arizona. The product is a very good quality product. If you purchase a Bohica 50 BMG upper, you will need to tweak some other parts. In order to get the best function, you will need to replace your hammer with a heavy hammer and heavy hammer spring. This is the minimum requirement. You will also need to remove the bolt release mechanism from your lower.
Good luck and enjoy. It is a serious blast... only a little pun intended. The muzzle break is efficient, but don't let anyone tell you the muzzle break makes it shoot like a small rifle. It feels like a BIG ASS 50 BMG and you won't want to shoot it all day long.
