So i went with the Dead Air mask
Next question for you guys is about cleaning it...
I read about soaking the baffles in DOT5 brake fluid even before the first use.
Supposed to make it easier to clean and slow down buildup.
What are your experiences and techniques?

    Default Looking for suppressor reccomendations

I dont pretreat as I shoot indoors frequently. The last thing I want is one more aerosolized chemical to breath in when shooting. I have met several people that swear by it.

I have never pretreated mine. They are a pain to clean and I can see why someone would want to make the process easier. But as mentioned above, this stuff may burn off. Even outside you get the gas and whatever lube you put on your gun blown back at you when the action opens.

Maybe I put the frog lube to use that I grabbed forever ago by pretreating my 22 can

On second thought I may change my order before it ships and go for a 9 mm / subsonic 300 blk option.
The two contenders on that would be Gemtech lunar 9 vs Osprey 9.
Anybody has one and can advise?

Can’t go wrong with the Dead Air Mask. Pick up a cheap ultrasonic cleaner to help with cleaning those 22 cans. It’s worth every penny. Once you buy one can, you’ll want more.
Osprey 45 for everything pistol, dedicated 22 can and a Hybrid for everything else. You still may be sub-$2k with stamps for all 3.

I have the Osprey 45 and I like it. I have never tried sending 300 blk down it though, just used it for handguns and a KRISS vector.

Any reason to go with a Hybrid vs a Griffin Optimus?
I only shoot 22 and 9mm handguns and it wouldn't go on any rifle larger than 30 cal. and the Optimus covers all that and it's user serviceable.
Plus the Optimus comes with some mounting options included and it is slimmer, which help with handgun sights...
Not bashing anybody's choices, I do appreciate all the inputs.

The hybrid uses parts that are interchangeable with the Osprey. I chose SilencerCO for pistol and rifle as it was easier to stick with one brand of mounts, pistons, muzzle brakes, etc.
