I feel totally cheated. My wife grew up here and told me stories about great weather and a conservative state. We moved here in 2005, just in time for the housing stupidity, followed by a rush through purple to red and we are now close to the worst gun laws in the country. At the same time I don't know what is soaring faster, housing prices or crime. Grew up in the midwest, lots of lakes. But here, after you fight the I70 traffic that is year round now, what does it take to get a cabin on a lake- and that overgrown pond that is Grand Lake is the only body of water that you can be sure will be at the shore. Got a few million for a cabin on the water up there?

CO is going full CA stupid FAST, and all the hipsters think it is awesome, until they can't buy anything.

I can deal with the crazy housing prices, I can sit in traffic, I can hold my tongue while my intellectual and moral inferiors talk about how evil white people are. What I can't stand is to be constantly threatened with prison time and fines for just owning pieces of plastic and metal. While people scream at me that I have blood on my hands, when all I have is CLP and powder- and their solutions never seem to solve the problem and the blood piles up on their hands through stupid actions that attack the law abiding.

    What an Fing mess.t'

Colorado has broken its promise and its value proposition. I'd rather live in Ohio, or Michigan. That's saying something. Sure, CO has low humidity, but it high in stupidity.
As someone who grew up in Michigan and Ohio I agree with everything. I?ve been here a little over three years and am on my out. I?ve got no reason to stay. It?s sad to see the west dying.

Does any other state have CCW in a patchwork system like they are contemplating? On “AWB“ the only places I know where they have local restrictions is Illinois with some of the Chicago suburbs. I know the other side doesn’t care. Making it difficult and legally dangerous to own firearms is part of their strategy. The interesting thing is that they seem to be driving this down to the smallest possible unit. Without actually going to the individual right of owning a gun.

And once again more “common sense gun laws“ that only get law abiding citizens, up until they cross some invisible boundary and happened to get pulled over for a speeding ticket.

One thing that the proponents of this bill say is that if you are just travelling through a city, even if pulled over, you won't be charged. There have always been stories about people transiting Denver and having their mags/guns confiscated and charges filed- with the charges being dropped, but the guns remaining confiscated.

Is that true? Do we have any actual cases of that?

Seems that would be a good way to fight this. Considering Denver is teh crossroads of Colorado, outlawing CCW in Denver would imperil CCW rights of everyone.

    ANyone have any actual cases?
