    Default Suppressor Wraps

Getting some mirage on the TBAC 22 Takedown attached to my 17 HMR. It's been a few years since I've bought one, things change, and the last thread I found on the subject was too old to be conclusively relevant as well.

Are Armageddon and TAB still the preferred general-use Suppressor Wraps?

Follow-up question: should I pay the extra $10 for the high temperature wrap if I go with Armageddon? I can't imagine getting a suppressor that hot shooting .17HMR or .22LR, so it's probably unnecessary extra bulk.

They’re both still great and I agree with Jim. Pay the extra $10 for the high temp upgrade.

That problem is easy to correct. Shoot more.

Run 30 rds of 22 or 17, then w/out a glove take that not too hot suppressor off.

Not only does it help with that, but it also helps with mirage, from the heat.

Imagine feeding a few hundred rounds through an integrally suppressed 9mm sub-gun with the index finger of your left hand a half inch away from the barrel. That was when I first discovered TAB wraps. What a game changer.
