    well, ok then...
    What I gather is that if I can afford enough ammo to make cleaning necessary, I can afford to just throw the can away and get a brand new one as needed...
    Sounds like the whole suppressor cleaning is a solution in search of a problem.

    22LR suppressor. Used with plain lead unplated , lubricated bullets typically CCI, ELEY, SK. Cleaned once a month after 400-500 rounds. Have tried CLR, Acetic acid and Dawn soap.
    Settled on liberal coating of CLP when assembling, Deposits wipe off with a shop towel or tooth brush at sharp corners. I recoat and distribute the CLP using compressed air.
    Keep it about as wet as a good .22 target pistol

    I pretty much have to clean them. You should see my poor 9mm suppressor after 500 rounds through the subgun. The .22 Suppressors are something else too, they get heavy pretty fast.
