Glock Carbine...according to the "other" AR site

So the other site is reporting, and claiming it's not an April Fools gag, that Glock has actually/finally/really filed a patent for a carbine. There is also a YouTube video from SPARTANAT (never heard of him) that the narrator in the first video references.

What are the chances? Real or elaborate hoax? I'm just interested because, you know, no one has EVER claimed Glock is coming out with a carbine. EVER. Seriously. No one has ever heard this before.

Glock would have been better off just buying KE Arms and bringing the KP15 out as a Glock.

AGAIN. This rumor has been going around, since Al Gore invented the internet.

The serious question is why? It's not like there's a shortage of 9mm carbine & pistol makers out there. I would not pay for the GLOCK name on a 9mm carbine. But i also blew off the opportunity to buy a prototype AR lower, that now brings 4 digits, if and when they pop up on line

It looks like it is basically a piston AR. There isn't anything I see that looks revolutionary. Doesn't appear to be 9mm. Nor does it look at take glock mags.
