Default I hate TV and News in June

Here's an NPR article on a Trans Militia group in CO...who are complaining about militia groups in CO. If this article had been about any other armed group of farmers wanting to be left alone, it would undoubtedly carry a much more sinister tone. I despise what June does to the media.

They go armed everywhere, want to be left alone, and are erecting a 6 foot fence around their property. To be clear, I have no problem with this. It's the media double standard that gets my goat.

Just imagine if this was a white male cattle rancher, or someone who wanted to self isolate from a rapidly changing world like Weaver:
co-owner Penny Logue and fellow owner Bonnie Nelson, both transgender women, carry pistols at all times. One wall of the communal geodesic-dome ranch house is stocked with various assault weapons.
"There's some degree where we want that [militaristic] perspective," Nelson said. "All we want is to be left alone."
And, Logue said, it's the unicorns' right to shut their front gate and leave the world behind, just like anyone else.
    Never complain; never explain.

My guess is that June is now 'Pride Month'.

I support their right to run around their property armed to the teeth as much as I'd support anyone else's.

It's best to just ignore this stuff.

Thanks, I was confused. When I was in middle school, my mom dropped me and a bunch of friends off at Elitches. It was "Gay Day" and we had no idea. We figured it out after a couple of hours.

    "wall full of assault weapons"

And yet they are under ZERO threat of being contacted by batfe.

Miserable reporting AND double standard much?

We went to Fleet Week in New York in 1993 or 94. I was maybe 18? Kept getting bounced at the door of every club we tried to get in. We were walking by an old church that had been converted into a massive club with a line wrapping around it for a block and some change, when the door guy screamed 'Hey sailors, over here!' Let us right in. Dudes kept buying us drinks, and there were hot chicks everywhere, dancing with each other. I thought it was the greatest place I'd ever been to, until about three drinks in when the realization crept up on me that I might have missed some key details...

Left pretty quickly after that, but still appreciated the free drinks.
