No, not sarcasm, I'm not a dog teacher - I just loves 'em.

Same here. In fact, I'd hope I'm mistaking what sounded like two 'double taps' in our greenbelt just a bit ago.

I was standing in my garage with the door open and there were two loud pops that were so loud that I jumped. I thought to myself that I must be getting jumpy. Later that night we found the .45 apc cases in the street next to my cars parked on the street.

I hear Trinidad is getting interesting. Some Denver $$$ guy bought up many properties. Big bets going on down there.

Was looking down that way a while back.
    Interesting local descriptions for land.
When investigating water source, I saw city water on acreage properties, and thought, Wow, that is pretty sweet.
What they mean is you truck it from the city and put it in a cistern, not waterlines from the city.
    Gotta watch those descriptions.

When I still lived just outside of Trinidad, I felt should be no fireworks should be used where we lived due to strong possible wildfire threat. So, bought a black powder cannon (with a 1-inch bore) and still had PLENTY loud sounds when I felt like making some and was legal. Just had to be very vigilant for where sparks could fly AND where the molten fuse will land. Great fun and I am pretty certain there are still some black powder cannon matches held down in Raton at the Whittington Center.
And yes, water supply and availability can be a problem down outside of Trinidad. Their city water supply comes from North Lake and should certainly be free of any industrial waste.

more importantly, were you properly admonished for yelling "gunshots?"

The second one that went of my captain thought was a shotgun as well. I could tell on the second it was fireworks as I was in a different part of the building.

Bob, I still have that 2" mortar that I fire off once in a while.

I love fireworks and all forms of boom.
PEOPLE setting off shit in the early AM is a people problem, not a fireworks problem.

I will be around for plenty of fireworks this 4th, and will bring out the golf ball cannon as well as some binary stuff.

What grade of BP do you use for the golf ball cannon (for the ball and for blanks) ?.
