I know but the emissions controls are a front range issue. They still have to start demanding those on the western slope before it gets this deep.

Dickenpooper signed us into California’s C.A.R.B emissions standards as a parting “Fuck You” gift when he was at the end of his term as Gubbenor.

I took public transportation to my job in Downtown Denver back in the '90s. I ended up getting a 2nd vehicle because I did the math and it saved me about 13 hours of commute time per week. How much is your time worth? The state thinks it's nothing to be concerned about. In reality, time is priceless.

I was also able to remove the anxiety of being able to finish whatever IT issue the company was having without the worry of hitting the last train to the last bus that served my community. When I got the 2nd vehicle, I could leave whenever I needed to go wherever I needed.

Considering what your time is worth, either in monetary/work terms or personal value, is one of the few things that many folks never seem to figure out.

In this case, the State doesn't care what you think your time is worth. They think your time is better spent in pursuit of their ideals/goals.

My wife and I had a similar experience when living in the DC area. It made more sense to pay a little bit more in rent so we could walk to work (Old Town Alexandria) rather then take mass transit. RTD prices are cheap compared to other cities I've worked in but service can be slow. As gas prices continue to rise I wonder If we'll see increased RTD usage.

Meh we both work from home now I can just RDP into the servers I need to work on.

    It's the future!

In reality, a lot of IT work can be done from just about anywhere with decent Internet access.
