    I was quoted $6K for my suburban 2 story. If you lived closer, I'd ask for your guy's number.

    You've got it backwards. Contractors (and doctors, and body shops) charge more when they know insurance is involved.

    My thoughts too.
    Ramos Law, Frank Azar, and their advertising cousins really keep rates increasing.
    Just think of the cost of tv advertising and the number of ads they are running.
    Just gets reflected in the insurance rates.

    Sorry - off topic.
    Our insurance paid around 6,000 for 2 story with walk-out after our last hail storm about 3 years ago.
    That was for the painting of the outside. The roof and windows were much more.

    I just started doing the lower level of mine. Sherwin Williams Duration was $300 (on sale) for a five gallon bucket. Single gallons were very hard to find.
