    Any revolver avoids the hot brass dance. I think SA or DA/SA revolvers work well for training- very easy to explain, operation is highly intuitive, and load/unload status is clear, especially on a swing-out cylinder.

    My wife generally wants nothing to do with a semiauto pistol, but is fully competent with her 60's vintage Colt PPS and Agent.
