Default question on licensing a diesel pickup in Colorado/Weld County

So next week I will be getting a 2007 GMC diesel pickup, it will be coming from NV.

I know I will have to get a VIN verification done, what about emissions? I do not think I can take it to the CO Air Care station, correct?

    No. AirCare won't do diesels.

Look and see if you need emissions in Evans. Some of Weld Cty requires emissions on diesels, but some chunks do not.

Looks like you do... Stupid libs...

Certain parts of Weld County do not require diesel emissions. If you do live in Evans, you will need emissions. Diesel emissions are done at independent diesel repair shops. Rocky Mountain Diesel Services, GAM (Greeley Auto Machine), and Agfinity I believe are the only ones in town that do it.

Yeah, I live in Evans, I knew I had to get emissions done, just not the process.

I have had machine work done at GAM, looks like I need to get it done there. Fortunately with a 43K LBZ Duramax, there is not a lot to worry about.

    Yeah, long story short:

My FIL was gifted the 2007GMC 2500HD ExtraCab from a friend that is dying, he bought the truck brand new off the lot and only used it to ow his camper. When he entered hospice, my FIL helped him out liquidating his estate, he has no heirs.

My FIL has had the truck a short time and he said it is too much truck for him, so he offered it to me for a gasoline halfton PU, so I picked up a 2014 F-150 to trade.

I have o drive out to Reno on Friday and hopefully head back next Monday, part of the deal is I have to bring back a horse, so I will be towing a horse trailer and a horse back, so at least a 2 day run coming back.

Sounds like some real horse trading. Congratulations on the find. You should be happy with it.
