    Default Composite Ammo

It says it's lighter and transfers less heat. I have never heard of it. At $70 for a box of 20 .308's it seems very expensive, especially if you can't reload it.

I don't know anything about this company/ammo yet either, but I will say they have a huge hill in front of them if they expect to earn the business of "discerning shooters" out there, at this price (their words). Anyone who's looking for the best, most consistent loads possible, (ie. discerning shooters) are generally loading them at home themselves, for a heck of a lot less than their price.

It's been a military project for decades now and this particular ammo and company has been in the news for well over a few years now. It's a good concept, in the end price to consumer will determine whether or not it becomes a viable profitable product.

So by the case not being a heat transfer vector, more thermal energy moves into the throat and barrel. Sounds like a good idea.

I've seen marketing videos praising how it keeps the weapon cooler, but I don't buy it. Energy doesn't come from nowhere. I've also read about how the removal of a heated brass case from the chamber removes heat from the entire operation of the weapon system. Did that magically stop happening?

I wish technology solved people issues. It seems to just reveal them.
