I picked up a sporter weight Rem 700 .223 barreled action, these came out of the Remington bankruptcy sale. Supposedly short chambered, but mine closes on a new piece of Lapua .223 brass. I need a gunsmith to check the headspace and make sure barrel is torqued properly as well. Anyone have a good suggestion for a gunsmith for this work? It would be a bonus if it is someone not back logged for months.
