Drugs are bad...
You ask that question, but you answered yourself in a way, this is Florida home of the "Face eater" and other strange and bizarre tales.
Your link and title of the story had me also ????? but when you read the article the spaghetti sauce was to cover up the fire he was trying to set. So in a way, very forward thinking there on the fire-starters part..................
No sure if the fire inspector would have said, "Well the fire was started by negligence in cooking spaghetti to eat even though the home owner was at work. Move along nothing to see here." that was a hindsight on fire-starters part.
"The rifle itself has no moral stature, since it has no will of its own. Naturally, it may be used by evil men for evil purposes, but there are more good men than evil, and while the latter cannot be persuaded to the path of righteousness by propaganda, they can certainly be corrected by good men with rifles. --Jeff Cooper"

I like sex, drugs and automatic weapons. That's why i'm a dues paying member of the Libertarian party. Struggling to keep the government away from messing with the above.
My Wife has her own vice.
If it wasn't for the hurricanes and the war with the space aliens, I would be there right now.

I recently listened to a podcast where some documentary writer, that lives there, was shitting all over Florida (Miami specifically) and explaining that there isn't any real economy there except retirement, drugs, and fraud. I need to get some Florida natives to listen to see what is true and what is over blown.
"There are no finger prints under water."
But then you get stories like this in my old neighborhood. Guy thinks he can rob store with gun, gets tackled by spring breakers from Indiana...
