Probably going to take the wife for a little getaway to the Phoenix area. She mentioned wanting to stay in Scottsdale.
Anyone been there enough to have a recommendation for a nice place to stay?
Thanks.

Was just up there yesterday. It is a nice area, albeit to warm for my liking.
A few months back some CO buddies rented an awesome place on AirBnB in Scottsdale. If that's your thing there are tons of options.
I haven't personally stayed, but I know lots of Tucson folks will head up to Arizona Grand Resort & Spa or JW Marriott Scottsdale Camelback for weekend trips.

Thanks. I am with you about the heat. We?re actually going in November. I believe the average highs when we are going are around 80 so should be pretty tolerable.
I?ll do a little research on the places you mentioned.
Scottsdale is still a fairly large city with lots of traffic. Consider heading a little further north to Cave Creek, which is a lot smaller with good restaurants but still close enough to S'dlale and Phoenix. Taliesin West and the Desert Botanic Gardens are worth a visit.
Go to Dillon Precision...
When it comes to staying in Scottsdale and Phoenix, budget plays a big part in where you will want to stay. There are some really nice hotel/resorts and the prices reflect that. A lot also depends on how close you want to be to the town centers. Walking distance or driving distance ? Also what you want to do while you are there will help decide where to stay.
Well, we are getting away and celebrating our 20th anniversary so budget isn?t really in question so long as she?s happy. We won?t be staying at the holiday inn but probably not going to be spending three grand for four or five nights either.
We will have a rental car so driving a bit to entertain ourselves isn?t an issue.
I guess a nice resort takes priority over the location of said resort.
Give me a date and we cam meet somewhere for lunch. A 1/2 way point between the valley and here is Black Canyon. Depending where you stay, there's some good food places.
