Yeah, that?s what they are saying in Commufornia.
Why bother voting when your ballot has been brought to the level of toilet paper?..after it has been used!

So the 75% of registered Democrats outweighed the 25% Republicans? That's too bad. I just read an article about it this morning. It was looking pretty dire until Newsom started saying that a vote for Elder was a death sentence because he would reverse all the mandates (like Texas oh my!). At least that was the narrative of the article I read. Perhaps they were right.
"There are no finger prints under water."
Right-leaning media had been hyping Elder's chances for weeks and weeks. I couldn't figure out how he had a chance, myself. It's not surprising in the slightest that Newsom is remaining in office.

I'm sure there were shenanigans but I think the events in Texas had more to do about it than anything. It looked like Gavin was doomed until Texas passed the abortion law. I got the impression most Democrats didn't care much until the media had a fresh example of what could happen if a Republican was elected.
For those that have to google it (I did), the new Texas Law, is that you can't have an abortion at six weeks into your 36 month pregnancy. The heartbeat law, they call it. As soon as a heartbeat is discernable, abortion is no longer an option.
That's a pretty good point, JohnnyDrama. Abortion is historically one of the biggest dividers between Republicans and Democrats.
36 weeks I meant![]()
