That may not have been your intent, but intent is difficult to judge by the written word.

...that literally indicates disbelief in what the OP stated.

Based on what you're saying, if you came out and said something like, "That's unbelievable that someone would act that way on a deal.", I think it would more effectively indicate where the disbelief lays.

But at the very least, I like to give dickheads something to wonder/worry about.
Yeah, I just don't have the time or energy for something like that. Deals fall through all the time, buyers and sellers flake out, etc. That's why even if I "make a deal" with someone, it's not a "done deal" in my mind until both the money and the goods change hands.

I've lost track of the number of times I've made verbal agreements with people to buy or sell and then they just ghosted me before the transaction could be completed. Actually, it's not that I "lost track" it's that I never bother to keep track of such things.

It's just the nature of the marketplace. Not worth my time or money to even think about it.

As far as the OP's seller, my observation is that people who behave in a shitty manner, sooner or later it comes back to bite them in the ass so I don't worry about it. Karma will take care of it.

I would say if you are getting that from what I wrote then you are just looking too far and overthinking it. I even said I was curious the story given. I was hoping it would provide additional details and verification for myself before I posted my own opinion on the matter.

I gotta say after hearing so many posts it really put me on the fence for what I would do if that exact thing happened to me. I'm biased by my own opinion obviously but the other side of the coin & several of ya'll putting your two cents forward really made me think twice about how I would proceed after the OP deets. I know right away I would be BEYOND peeved. But after hearing the other side I'm not sure if it would be worth pursuing either. Haha ahh how quickly minds can be changed just doscussing it quite simply. It's strange. As far as first impressions? I'm waaaayy brash, open, honest, outspoken, SUPER talkative, etc etc. I also stand pretty tall (another story behind the nickname) kinda guy and I'm a super extra & loud extrovert so I do apologize in advance for that.

I guess that rules out horse meat?.

Not sure why this side dispute is dominating this thread. Think every side has made their case at this point.

Me too. I am only eating food these days.

Come on man, I even publicly apologize for how my message come off as it did without meaning it to be that way in the first place. Are we gonna let bygones be bygones or are we gonna keep shaking our yardsticks? I elect to move

Honestly never heard a story about a deal going sour like that and I'm naturally uber curious so I was asking cause it's straight messed up. I do apologize if that's the vibe you (and/or anyone else for that matter) pulled from the context but that was NOT what I meant by my question at all. My question was purely inquisitive and genuine. I never asked to cast doubt in any way..

One thing to remember is that the site doesn't have a sarcasm font and "No shit?!" type of incredulousness rarely translates in the written word (unless you actually use those words). These two types of responses are often misjudged here which is why a lot of the old timers here use work-around's to this that they've developed over time. You'll develop them too.
