There are native people that are still living in the Florida everglades to this day. The authorities went in a decade or more and cleared them all out and right away hundreds moved back in. There is the chance that if he went in, he could be alive. I doubt that he actually went in there and is long gone from Florida.

If his parents said he went to the swamp and abandoned his vehicle and they brought it back and it was four days, then five days, before they called it in, and... and.. and...

He never went to the swamp in the first place. Survival experts say you can't live there, so his parents want everyone to stop looking. His parents agree "he dead" while smiling and joking with investigators in the swamp.

Note some friends have reported he has "camped" in the Appalachians for months in the past.

So PSA, gen Z needs to be taught not to date transients apparently. It's not camping when they live there permanently. Needless to say, he is either with friends/family staying in a basement, or he's in the hills shitting in the woods which is his normal productive occupation, as far as I can tell. At no time was he ever in the swamp.

Default He was last seen at a campground with ocean access...

This cheap boat will get you gone quietly. You will need some skills though.

gotta be extremely skilled with boat size that small.
My dad wanted to take all of our family to Catalina Island on a very sunny calm day with similar size boat. We all begged to turn around after about 20miles.
it was one of the scariest moments of my life.

Aren't there a lot of great white sharks in those waters?

And they are likely to take him in, let him assimilate, get a job and be productive?

Do you really think the citizens would gladly welcome a suspected murderer into their society?

    Nonsense.

Been a haven for criminals and plane hijackers. For a long time. You can even Google it.
