There is work going on locally to build a super fast train. They are planning on having it run the front range in some sort of tunnel. 745 mph train to Denver would be nice...

Itt will not happen. At the speed self driving cars are coming, a self driving taxi orr bus fleet will be here before the 1st link of track is placed.

There is nothing high speed in the front range track scam except profiteering. It will still most likely take the same time to go from Pueblo to Denver. About 2 hrs. And that's if you board the train minutes before it departs. Stops at Colorado Springs & Caastle Rock at a minimum. These will likely be on the Kansas side of the cities so as to minimize land theft costs. Then once you get there you are connected to the standard slow transit services. DIA to downtown is close to 30 minutes on the train at a minimum. These high speed trains will be spaced 30 minutes apart. Stop 5 to 15 minutes per station. And will never hit addveerttised speed. Maybe 150-200 mph. Laws of physics for acceleration/deceleration and human comfort don't change on liberal dreams.

And then ridership numbers will never justify the cost to build and maintain. Who needs to travel those distances now that virtual work places have been shoved down our throat and how many have decided work from home is so nice?

The justification for a disabled veteran to get to the VA in Denver is laughable. Send a shuttle/ambulance to thier door and deliver the vet to the front door of the VA. No train can do that. A veteran would still need to get to the train station and then to the VA. Why change modes of transit?

Again trains are fixed route inflexible relics of the past unable to adapt to changing demographics and demands.

Trains are a scam. Self driving busses or shuttles are the future for mass transit.

I took trains in the UK last year. Went from London to a US Air Force base, got within 4 miles of the base. Took a taxi from there. Went back to London by train. All my travels were by train almost. I really liked it, internet service on the trains. The trains were all fairly new and clean. You can take a train from London to Paris now. When I was stationed there the quickest way was across the English Channel was by hovercraft. I took a train from London to Bristol in 1977, it was travelling 125mph most of the trip.
