Default Rifle painting, anyone? Now with MOAR!

Update; new rifles added page 2...
I was asked on another forum if I'd do paintjobs for other folks, and I thought, sure, why not? So, I thought I would first offer my services to local folks, just to get an idea of any sort of demand. First, a couple of examples:

Obviously, I really like this pattern. I think it works well on the plains, and in many areas in the mountains. Any patterns I might do will be a blended, more subtle type, as opposed to some of the really "cut out" looking types of camo. I've also done "mesh" type, which looks great. I don't have any sort of templates, but could order them as necessary.

The paint would be just that, paint. I'm not set up for things like Duracoat yet, but am planning on doing so in the future. Personally, I like the paint, because it's simple to work with, easy to fix, and not truly permanent. I can do paint on most materials, as is evident from the wood and fg stocks pictured.

Costs would be pretty darned reasonable, but of course, would have to be on a case by case basis. For something like the M1A above, figure about $50 for just the stock. Obviously, the more material or prep time, the more it would cost.

Mods, if this is the wrong place for this thread, please move it to where it is more appropriate.

Wish I had the guts to alter the color of my M1A. That looks badass

Well, that's why I'm offerring to do it for you! When it comes to the M1A, there is such a wealth of stocks out there, and it isn't too difficult to just remove the paint from the stock. I didn't do the metal because I do plan on using the rifle in service rifle matches in the future, and will want it to look "issue".

I've probably got a 10/22 or something for you to do, maybe my .243

How much for a 10/22...basic with a scope

and for a remington 700 adl synthetic stock with scope? I really like the looks of yours

Are you using rattle can/krylon type or something longer lasting like dura-coat?

Using a M1A for High Power? Thats just crazy talk. Expensive to shoot/maintain and they kick too much... Good for boat anchors though.

My first two I used Krylon. The new paint is similar to Duracoat, but quite easy to remove, should one want.

And stop hatin' the M1A! REAL men don't mind recoil!

I meant for anyone to do that, FWIW I was once upon a time a painter in body shop. I have no worries about paying or doing it myself. Just no balls to do it either way as I know I would get tired of the "new" look and all that.
