    Default Gunsmithing

I don't know where else to put this as I don't see any forum relating to gunsmithing... Moderators, please move if needed.

Looking for a reputable gunsmith to do some work for me on a long rifle. Found a guy but never got a response, etc. So time for someone else. Work to be done:

    1. Would like barrel threaded to accept can.
    2. Action trued up.
    3. Trigger job done, reduced weight and remove travel/creep.

Please PM/email or respond via this thread if you know of a good smithy in your neck of the woods. Prices and time frame would be wonderful info too. I would like to keep it in the Colorado Springs up to South Denver area.

    Thank you Sirs.
    Tim

If you are in the Springs look up Earl Hickman at Hickman Rifles. Reasonable rates, not sure about the timeframe. One of the best in the nation is in Erie, Westwind rifles. Long wait and probably not cheap.

In Parker is John Kelley. Also long-ish wait and not terribly cheap, but he does good work. 303-840-2372 is his number. Goes by Kelley Sports LLC. He's at 12990 N. 6th Ave.

Hey Tim, my dad Cal Johnson is semi retired but still doing a lot of work from home. I'll talk to him tonight and see if he is doing the type of work you need done. If he is, I'll pm you his contact info. He is in the Springs.
