What type of finish or polish are you planning? Sandblast or high polish?

Also, what kind of gun is it? If it's a S&W my guess is they'll do it better and cheaper than what anyone local can do it for. Their custom shop are masters at refinishing guns. I had them strip the nickel from a gun and put a high polish blue on it...it was fantastic. I just don't know if they do nickel or chrome these days. Be worth checking into...if it's a S&W.

I am not sure anymore but several years ago I was looking for a place for chroming bike parts and there was no one in CO. Environmental issues was the reason given.
I had to send them to a chrome specialist in Kentucky.

I have used a commercial electroless nickel plating business in Colorado Springs. You have to do your own disassembly and polishing or bead blast work.
Ximpak INC. I'm satisfied with two 1911's and a Browning SA-22 two barrel set I put together.

Yep. All the old chrome places are gone. I'm not even sure most places want to deal with the gun aspect anyway. I've done nickel at home for some knife stuff in the past. Not all that difficult. Also plain nickel is not super durable. Looks like you might be headed to the springs.
Used to be a plating place over near where 5280 Armory used to be off Wadsworth, a company I worked for back during the housing crash around 2010 used them to nickel plate parts. Not sure if they are still around or have an FFL to do firearms parts.
Try Ajax custom plating on south Broadway in denver. I don’t know is they do firearms but worth a try.
