This whole thing of justifying someone/something because there exists someone/something "worse" is disgusting. By that rationale, everything is fine as long as it's not the worst. We should have higher standards.

Compared to Trump, Biden has shown class. He hasn't packed the court, which shows at least a hint of restraint. Biden isn't on Twitter mocking anything and everything. He isn't so thin-skinned that he's going to war with every person who disagrees with him. No porn stars have accused him of anything yet, and he doesn't have a history of openly cheating on his spouse. Even with the gaffs, he is miles ahead of Trump on class. I wouldn't let Trump spend time with my boys or be alone with my wife.
Its one thing to have held your nose and voted for Trump, hoping the damage he would do would be outweighed by something avoided/averted. Its quite another thing to fly his flag and identify oneself with him, a man without loyalty to anyone or anything but his own vanity.

Reread it a third time, I was discussing character and class. I vote on policy. I held my nose and voted for Trump because the Libertarians didn't field a viable candidate and because the Democrats were openly embracing socialism, gun control, mandates, etc. Trump lost because there were a lot of conservatives with more integrity than me, in that they wouldn't let fear force them to vote for a lying philandering narcissist. His own lack of character is the reason he failed.

In future elections I'll go back to voting for what I believe in, rather than simply against the other party. I can't complain about the quality of our representatives if I'm willing to vote for the worst of them.
