Lots of encouraging responses so far. However, I'm kind of with all the others. What would bring you back to CO while many here and others are trying to get out or have left.
53yr native here and don't even recognize the state anymore. I'd pack up my shit and take my family with me except I own a successful business that I can't abandon.

a guy that has been gone from around these parts for more than a year very well may not recognize the place when he comes back. Every where I look I am just flabbergasted at the rate of growth. Houses can't be built fast enough. Road congestion getting worse by the day, it seems.

Laws aren't "preventable" measures. IOW, more gun laws won't stop mass shootings.
I can’t even bring myself to go back to Colorado to visit much less entertain the idea of moving back.
If I found myself living back there I would assume I had lost in the game of life.
BTW.. I loved CO for most of my life, but now…..nope.
How about you spend a month here before making any life changing decisions?
A week is not enough, you would be in "holiday mode", blinded to reality.

We lived in Castle Pines about two year ago before we left for work again. (Company likes to move us around). Went back for thanksgiving to visit and was absolutely shocked at how much change had taken place in that ?short? time. If not required to go back I?d look elsewhere with similar features of what is drawing you back.
