Default California looks at Texas Abortion style law for Assault Weapons and Ghost Guns

I have no idea how it would work, but that's not gonna stop 'em.

I have seen recent posts on other firearms forums indicating they would "gladly give up their guns" if it would mean "saving unborn innocent lives". WTF?

The anti-abortion activists really open Pandora's Box with their new legal tactic. The two issues should NOT be connected, but do to a lack of vision on secondary consequences, they now will be an intertwined debate.

One is a constitutional right, one is not.

However, there is no right to manufacture arms, so they may have something there especially since California has had a ban on their manufacture for years

The proposal is to allow for suing manufacturers, distributors and dealers for the criminal misuse of firearms and ammunition.

I've read from two or three legal scholars today that Newsom's plan is full of legal problems.

^^ Yeah... Some mentioned that, too. Saying Newsom is just going to start a fight he can't win, spend/waste a lot of taxpayer money, then lose...and of course he'll be long gone so he'll never be held accountable for anything.

So what happens when the state approves all gun sale? All ammo sales? Wouldn't the state be liable for these also?
