    To add to this, I'm surprised this hasn't been pushed further. The stretch by SCOTUS to find Obamacare Constitutional as a "tax" could easily be the progressives'/socialists' path forward.

    You don't want to get vaccinated? You've been deemed to be a negative impact to society and you must buy an additional insurance policy to cover the expense or pay a "tax" to behave in this way. You want to have guns and ammo? That has been deemed to be a negative impact to society and you must buy an additional insurance policy to cover the expense or pay a "tax" to behave this way.

    Of course this same government would be the arbiter of the statistics used to define such risks (with an incentive to pry more dollars from the people to feed its endless appetite).

    You either comply, pay the tax, or break the law. It's basically a spin on Islam where infidels have the option to convert, pay jizya, or die.
