Default Safe storage laws for alcoholic beverages?

    Rhetorical question of the day...

Statistics indicate roughly 5,000 deaths per year are "caused" by individuals under age 21 accessing and consuming alcoholic beverages. Unlike firearms, you rarely hear our progressive minders calling for laws requiring secure storage of alcoholic beverages in the home.

    Why is that?

Like Linda Richman says, "Talk amongst yourselves..."

Do the stats for deaths/suicide by gunfire exceed 5000 a yr.?

There are laws for everything already, and when folks don't want to abide by them, they will just do what they please in any fashion they can find available. Seatbelt laws piss me off and I don't wear them as I also defeat any "dinger" function designed to remind me to do so. Locking up alcohol in the house would be as ineffective as the gun control bullshit. Did you drink and probably drive under the influence before the age of 21?....I did.

Since you have successfully jacked up my morning thinking about The Nanny State, how about helmet laws? I'm not drinking this morning nor do I plan on being in a car, but I will probably ride my bike to work. Maybe we should just keep this quiet. In case someone is listening/watching.
