Just got an awesome call at work

Just had a guy call our office and I'm glad I listened to him instead of hanging up on him like a phone spammer. I believe he said he was from the International Franchise Organization. I let him talk and he basically laid out the whole spiel about how the health care bill sucks balls and will effect small business owners, and will ruin the market for health insurance, then asked for my thoughts on the matter. I just said, "I agree." Then without missing a beat he says, "Well, we are trying to connect people with senator Michael Bennett to give them a chance to let him know how they feel about it. Are you ready for us to transfer to you directly to his phone for free?"

I told him that I loved what he was doing, but I am busy at the moment and have his email. He gave me his number anyway. 202.224.5852

I thought that was pretty cool.

Good luck with Bennett. I was somehow on his email list, got a couple a week touting the new healthcare plan. I responded to one, politely, telling him that it was a bad idea, that he was trying to further mortgage my daughters' futures, etc. He hasn't responded, and I haven't received any more emails from him. As my favorite radio show host puts it- "He's an empty suit".
