Default Thought Experiment - Background Check

Let say I was to go out and go magnet fishing. And I got really lucky. Lets say I got the same fishing results in FL as this kid did in FL.

An 11-year-old Florida boy and his grandfather caught more than they bargained for while magnet fishing for the first time in a canal near Miami last weekend. Using a large magnet tied to the end of a rope, the two ended up pulling two .50-cal Barrett rifles out of the water

In Colorado, how would one do a background check on the transfer?

Is just hauling them in taking possession and against the law even though I didn't know what I would catch?

Or would a person be OK if they did catch and release?

Another thread got me thinking about all the boating accidents and that this could be a lucrative venture. But I dont know how to handle the universal background checks.

They aren't rifles they are .50 caliber pike minnows.

Totally legal to taxidermy and mount on your wall.

It's not really a transfer since that would require two parties.

I don't recognise the authority of any other species, so they can take their Universal background checks with them back on their flying saucers and beat it.

An American would obtain a copy of the U.S. Constitution and its Bill of Rights and exercise Amendments 2 & 5. (Hypothetically speaking of course)
