Default Chamfer tool for military crimps

Today I picked up an irwin 3/4" countersink bit for my drill and used it to cut out the crimp on 556 brass.
    It works pretty slick.

I was using the hand held chamfer/ debur tool up untill I got an rcbs swager set. I was having some issues with loose pockets so I picked up a brass boss with a military crimp cutter. The military crimp cutter works OK but takes some time to cit them back properly and I had dulled the cutter after around 1500 brass. Rcbs sent a new one at no cost but I was looking for a more efficient way of getting the bulk of it removed before running on the brass boss and the countersink bit is much faster. Processed around 1000 brass today in around 2 hrs. Hope this helps some one alomg the way.

I use these, large and small. Put 'em in a small cordless drill. I think they're from Hornady.

Preferable to swage the pocket instead of cutting the crimp.
If the Odds are equal, you're doing it wrong

I have done batches of brass bolth ways and haven't seen a difference either way. Primer pockets seem to last the same amount of loadings either way. It is faster to trim for me so I have been trimming all the pockets for the last year.
