    Default Trimming 9mm brass

I have buckets of 9mm brass and it?s about time to start loading a bunch of it. I?d like to run it all through a trimmer before I do.

I?ve got a Forster Classic Case trimmer that works great for rifle cartridges. It doesn?t work worth a shit for 9mm cases. The listed mandrel size didn?t fit inside the case mouth. The listed collet won?t hold the base. The damned aluminum base even needs swapped out for a shorter version. RUFKM? There must be a better way.

What are you guys using for trimming 9mm brass?

I have never trimmed a piece of 9mm brass in my life and don’t plan to ever do that. In fact I don’t believe I’ve ever trimmed any pistol or revolver brass.

I can't imagine a level of boredom that would make me trim 9mm brass...
Just load it and shoot it!

Same. Never trimmed any pistol brass for sure. Load, shoot, repeat until eventually the brass splits and isn?t good anymore.

I might have trimmed some 44 mag brass about thirty years ago. Can?t quite remember why.

    Dont. Just dont.

I get pretty anal about things I can control on my ammo.

But trimming 9mm brass ranks about dead last on my list of things that I am willing to do. Not because it is a pain, but because the value added is almost zero.

So?. I batch trim my 38spl brass once to get it all to the same length. The roll crimp otherwise is a crap shoot. But it?s only once and never again.

Just clean them and start loading. A waste of time to trim them.
