So, apparently another Russian general got shot by a sniper, making two down. In addition, it shows the utter poopfest that is the Russian army, because the unit's FSB officer didn't have any secure communications, so relayed the general's death by a local sim card (and the message was intercepted).

The Ukrainian's have a lot going on there. They have some serious tech (probably given to them by us) AND the ability to wage legitimate guerilla warfare.

Intercepting unsecured comms and lighting tanks up with Molotov cocktails. Little bit of everything and it's working.

Don't forget the Ukraininan forces were largely trained by the Russians so they know their tactics. I keep having flashbacks of Patton at El Guettar.

Something people are forgetting is that the supply/demand issues are on political divides, not worldwide. Who will buy Russian oil at a discount...China. Who will buy Russian wheat? China. Timber? China. China. China is going to come out like a bandit. But it's not like the commodities are removed from the world or unsold. China will even be able to import Russian goods and export them if they so desire...

Russia is also transitioning to Chinas card processing and China everything. In the future, if China says Jump, Russia says how hi, because China is Russias PIMP from here on out.

Some talk of chemical weapons use in Ukraine by the Rus. I am just waiting for this to go nuclear. All my military training was about stopping heavy armor using nuclear bombers. Enhanced radiation weapons. Preventing Soviets from taking mid east oil fields. The Fulda Gap premise was all a lie. The folks at the White House are going to live high on the hog, at our expense. Nice jets, fancy parties & big pensions. We can just eat cake...

I read something today speculating the Russians have already lost damn near as many soldiers in 2 weeks as the US lost in 20 years in Iraq and Afghanistan. No way to know for sure, of course. Also mentioned this invasion/war isn't thought very highly of in the Russian military and Kremlin, the term "clusterfuck" was used.

Wonder how you say clusterfuck in Russian.....
