Yeah yeah, I know the cons.
Gonna start doing 1/2 tanks of the stuff. Not sure my fuel system can keep up with the demand on full e85

If you're not setup for 'Flex Fuel', I wouldn't go there. The repairs may not be worth it.

It'll run just fine, and I have a tuner to keep an eye on the fuel/air ratio to make sure I don't overrun the injectors.

On Thursday, I topped my tank and filled several portable gas containers with ethanol free gas @ $4.29.9. I have a couple 300 gal. fuel tanks, one full of diesel. Thinking of refilling the 300 gal. gas tank too. Now that we're in a hot war with Russia it's past time to prepare with the basics of food, water, shelter, fuel and ammo. In past wars tires were also in short supply. I bought tires and ammo yesterday, too.

Going to top off my wife?s vehicle in a bit. A few years ago this was roughly $25. I?ll let you know what it costs this morning when I?m done filling it up.

Relax. Google US fuel exports. We export lots of refined fuel now. There is plenty of it and it goes to the highest bidder. The government is cutting a deal to import crude from Venezuela. Expect a deal with Iran next.
Your inflation adjusted costs won't be bad.

$56 and some change. In the grand scheme of things I suppose its way cheaper than filling up my truck since she has half the tank capacity.

Filled up the wife's truck from empty @ $3.79, was over $90. Haven't paid that much since about 2008(and that was diesel fuel)

Hahaha. I love it when people say "inflation adjusted costs" aren't bad when inflation is sky high.

Raise of hands. Who's income is also inflating at the same rate?????

    Bueller?

Didn't think so. So comparing "inflation adjusted costs" is meaningless when income doesn't keep up.. Our money buys less and that's a problem.
