What I remember at that time was the jump was primarily in gasoline costs. Many businesses assessed a fuel charge on lots of services and products. I clearly remember having to explain the surcharge to clients. This time around, it seems that everything is skyrocketing, so less surcharge, more price increase.

Biden announces that we are cutting off Russian imported oil. Better gas up sooner rather than later, we haven't seen the end of rising gas prices, and everything associated with it.

I've been trying to top off once I hit the 1/4 mark, filled up for $3.99 yesterday morning on the way to work, by the time I got off work, it was $4.29 pretty much across the Tucson metro area.
If the politicians really wanted to help, they'd work to increase production, and they'd temporarily repeal gas taxes.
