    Default Why? Ported 9mm Barrel

This seems silly. Wouldn't it effectively turn a 4" barrel into a 3"?
Plus make a mess inside the slide?
    Would the slide cycle correctly?

The whole thing is very confusing to me.

    I tried something similar on a G19.

It did reduced muzzle rise, now maybe this was due to the reduced velocity (# in my notes somewhere), maybe it was the gas, it did seem to be quite loud and more exhaust to the face.

That's basically what I have. (A 19/19x convertible lower). It does keep it very flat. I might be able to get a chrono out and test this weekend ported vs unported. If that's something that ya'll want to see. Have to locate my "normal" barrel

    Ported barrel is VERY loud

I had thought about trying something to tame the crazy muzzle rise and recoil associated with the nine millimeter round but then I just remembered it really doesn?t exist so I just put my purse down and held on a little tighter.

As a plus, it makes it really exciting to shoot from retention ready!

The 9mm is a pretty high pressure caliber. Those holes for sure make the pistol recoil really flat so it can be faster for additional shots.

It actually isnt that dirty inside the gun because the holes in the slide or bigger than the ones in the barrel.

And the CDI factor is pretty high.
